Contact form. When you send a request, we receive your name, work email, company (if you give one), the briefing you are interested in, the countries you want covered and your message. The form sends this to our team by email.

Analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to see how the website is used in aggregate. It does not use cookies. Visits are counted with a hash created from the incoming request, which is discarded after 24 hours, so we cannot identify you. It records the page visited, the referring page, approximate location (country, region and city), browser, operating system and device type.

Hosting. Like any website, our hosting provider processes technical request data, such as your IP address, browser details, the page requested and the time, to deliver the site and keep it secure.

We do not use cookies for analytics or advertising, and we do not sell personal data.

• To answer your request and prepare a sample briefing or a quote. This is necessary to take steps you asked for before a possible contract, and in our legitimate interest in replying to business enquiries (GDPR Article 6(1)(b) and (f)).
• To run and secure the website and understand how it is used, in our legitimate interest in operating a reliable site (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).

Giving us your details is voluntary, but without a name and an email address we cannot reply to your request.

We share data only with providers that help us run the website, under data processing agreements:

• Vercel Inc. hosts the website and provides the analytics described above.
• Mailgun Technologies, Inc. delivers contact form messages to our mailbox, using its servers in the European Union.
• Our business email provider stores the messages we receive.

Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, it is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

• Contact requests are kept for up to 24 months after our last exchange if no business relationship follows, and then deleted. If you become a client, we keep them for as long as the relationship requires.
• Analytics are stored only as aggregated statistics; the visit hash is discarded after 24 hours.
• Hosting and email delivery logs are kept for the limited periods set by our providers.

You can ask us for access to your personal data, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. Write to info@codify.lv and we will reply within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Latvia this is the Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija), dvi.gov.lv.

We may update this policy when the website or our providers change. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
